About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Logistics Planner to join their team in Norwich . In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing transportation routes, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. You will play a crucial part in coordinating logistics operations, contributing to cost savings and timely deliveries. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily and weekly transportation routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Coordinate with carriers to book shipments, negotiate rates, and track deliveries.
• Manage and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
• Ensure all shipments comply with relevant regulations and documentation requirements.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Utilize transport management systems (TMS) to optimize planning and provide real-time updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics planning , transportation, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, routing, and supply chain operations.
• Proficiency with transport management systems (TMS) and logistics software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote tasks.
