About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join their team in Norwich . This role is central to optimizing the efficiency of our client's transportation and delivery network. You will be responsible for planning routes, scheduling drivers, and managing the flow of goods to ensure timely and cost-effective operations. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments, including drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize delivery routes for a fleet of vehicles to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Schedule drivers and vehicles based on route plans, driver availability, and legal working hours.
• Monitor ongoing deliveries and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and dispatch of goods.
• Utilize logistics software to manage plans, track shipments, and generate reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics planning or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of route optimization techniques and transport scheduling.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
