About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Logistics Planner to join their operations in Belfast, Northern Ireland . This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods, managing schedules, and coordinating with various stakeholders to optimize delivery routes and logistics networks. You will play a key role in maintaining the flow of materials and finished products, contributing to overall operational success. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule transportation routes for optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouses to manage shipment timelines.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any delays or disruptions.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding logistical matters.
• Analyze logistics data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Experience in a Logistics Planning or coordination role.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS ) and supply chain operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
