Logistics Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled Logistics Planner to join their team in Bristol . You will be responsible for optimizing transportation routes, scheduling shipments, and managing carrier relationships to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. This role is vital for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and meeting customer delivery expectations. The hybrid work model allows for strategic planning and analysis to be conducted remotely, complemented by on-site coordination and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily transportation operations, optimizing routes and load capacities.
• Select and manage relationships with transport carriers, negotiating rates and service level agreements.
• Track shipments and provide real-time updates to internal teams and customers.
• Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to coordinate logistics activities.

Requirements

• Experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, route planning, and carrier management.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
