The Opportunity
We are seeking a Logistics Strategic Studies Engineer to join a leading automotive organisation in Solihull. This exciting opportunity sits at the heart of product creation and manufacturing strategy, supporting programme delivery from the earliest development phases through to production readiness. Working closely with the Logistics Strategic Programmes Lead , you will provide critical data analysis, impact assessments, and programme coordination activities, helping to shape logistics strategies across multiple UK manufacturing sites. This role offers the chance to work within a highly collaborative environment, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across Logistics, Supply Chain, Technology, Manufacturing, and Programme teams.

- Act as the day-to-day contact in GME Logistics for all programme activity in the strategy phase
- Engage GME technology teams and act as key interface to support decision making during creation of the initial manufacturing strategy
- Capture all part complexity, type, sequencing assumptions and m3 data from Supply Chain and programme teams and summarise latest part fit point and packaging proposals. Confirm alignment with latest solution design intent
- Prepare all Intra-Logistics strategic impact assessments for programme studies as requested by the Industrial Operations Strategy (IOS) team
- Prepare all Intra-Logistics gateway submissions for the Industrial Operations Programme Delivery (IOPD) team from to gateways
Skill and Experience Required
- Experience working in a project or programme environment
- Ability to collate, analyse and present complex data
- Understanding of planning, monitoring and risk-awareness principles
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confident working in dynamic environments where scope of work changes at pace
