£43,000 basic salary £3,200 annual standby allowance Overtime opportunities at 1.5x 20 days holiday bank holidays, increasing by 1 day each year up to 25 days Company pension scheme Free on-site parking Career progression & training We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Cambridge.
The successful engineer will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, working across a range of electro-mechanical equipment. You'll also have the opportunity to get involved in component manufacture, continuous improvement and reliability projects.
Role & Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative and condition-based maintenance across a range of electro-mechanical equipment. Respond to reactive breakdowns, fault find and complete repairs efficiently. Manufacture and repair components using lathes, milling machines and welding equipment. Work closely with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability. Support continuous improvement projects across the site. Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system. Liaise with and coordinate on-site contractors where required. Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain technical knowledge and competence. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with site procedures.Experience Required Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent. Previous experience within Food Manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment. Strong electro-mechanical maintenance experience. Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings. Experience working with milling equipment. Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. A proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving.
