Our client seeks a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join their established manufacturing plant in Wolverhampton . This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all production machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, diagnosing and rectifying faults, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the facility. This position offers a great opportunity for a hands-on engineer to play a key role in maintaining industrial operations in the West Midlands .
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults to minimize downtime.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies during maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment .
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
