About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all production machinery through proactive and reactive maintenance. This role is crucial for minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical and electrical systems, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills, contributing to a robust manufacturing operation in the West Midlands .
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults in a timely manner.
- Respond to machine breakdowns and ensure swift resolution to minimize production disruption.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of all repair work undertaken.
- Identify potential equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with fault finding and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to work.
- Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., HND, HNC).
