Our client requires a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning of machinery and equipment at their Wolverhampton manufacturing site. You will be responsible for both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a range of industrial equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production machinery and plant equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out necessary repairs efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies in Wolverhampton .
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance performed, parts used, and issues encountered.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g., HNC, HND, Apprenticeship).
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical control systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures in an industrial environment.
