Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production machinery and plant equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out necessary repairs efficiently.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to perform maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies in Wolverhampton .
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance performed, parts used, and issues encountered.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g., HNC, HND, Apprenticeship).
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical control systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in an industrial environment.
