Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join their manufacturing facility in Liverpool . This critical role ensures the optimal functioning and longevity of all plant machinery and equipment through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for keeping production lines running smoothly and safely, minimizing downtime, and contributing to overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to preventative maintenance best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment according to schedule.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on various types of industrial equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to restore functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including parts used and time spent.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures while performing maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
