Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join their manufacturing facility in Liverpool . In this essential role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of all production machinery and plant equipment. Ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance is key to this position. The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual with a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on various machinery.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including parts used and labor time.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in a plant environment.
• Relevant technical certifications are desirable.
