Management Accountant (Part-Qualified)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a driven and analytical Part-Qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team in Reading . This role offers a superb opportunity for an individual progressing through their professional accounting qualifications (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) to gain hands-on experience in management accounting. You will assist in preparing management reports, budgets, and forecasts, contributing to the financial analysis that guides business strategy. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, including data collation and initial analysis.
• Prepare variance analysis reports, highlighting key deviations from budget and forecast.
• Help maintain the fixed asset register and process depreciation.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and project work as required by the finance manager.
• Contribute to process improvements within the management accounting function.

Requirements

• Actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) or hold an AAT qualification with relevant experience.
• Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably with some exposure to management accounts.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including formula application and data manipulation.
• Good understanding of management accounting principles.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and keen to learn and develop accounting skills.
