About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their finance department based in Coventry . This role is integral to providing essential management information that drives operational efficiency and strategic planning. You will be responsible for producing insightful management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, working closely with departmental heads to analyse performance and identify areas for improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Analyse key financial and operational metrics, providing insights to support business decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models for scenario planning and business case evaluations.
- Support the finance team with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Requirements
- Part-qualified or newly qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience in a Management Accounting role, with a strong understanding of financial reporting principles.
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Organised and methodical approach to work, with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
