About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Management Accountant to join their finance team in Leeds , operating on a hybrid model. This role is central to providing insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making across the business. You will be involved in budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and contributing to the development of management reporting systems. Working within a collaborative environment, you will liaise with various departments to understand operational drivers and translate them into financial insights. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide variance explanations and recommendations.
- Assist in the implementation and enhancement of management reporting tools and dashboards.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and business case development for key strategic initiatives.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data used for management decision-making.
Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a strong background in management accounting.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a commercial environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing office and remote work.
