Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client in the historic city of Oxford is looking for a skilled Management Accountant to join their finance department. This role is critical in providing financial insights and support to the business operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. You will work closely with departmental managers to help them understand their financial performance and drive efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, performing variance analysis.
• Provide financial analysis and commentary to support business decisions.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements.
• Develop and improve financial reporting processes and systems.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies and ensure data integrity.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
• Proven experience in management accounting or a similar financial role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.
