Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting for their organization. This position is vital for providing insights that support strategic decision-making and drive business performance. The role offers a hybrid working model, combining remote flexibility with essential in-office presence in Oxford , ensuring both productivity and team cohesion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances and providing explanations.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment appraisals.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial systems and controls.
• Assist with year-end audit preparations and statutory reporting.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a Management Accounting role, preferably within a UK-based company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas) and experience with accounting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid capacity, demonstrating strong self-management for remote tasks in Oxford .
