About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join their finance department in Norwich . This role is integral to providing essential financial information and analysis to support operational management and strategic decision-making. You will be involved in preparing management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring the financial performance of various business units is accurately monitored and reported. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses strong analytical capabilities, contributing to a robust financial framework and driving business performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and regular financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and provide commentary to stakeholders.
- Support business managers with financial insights and analysis for decision-making.
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.
Requirements
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a management accounting or financial control role.
- Strong knowledge of management accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software packages.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-finance colleagues.
