About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join their finance department in Cardiff , operating under a hybrid work model. This role is crucial for providing insights into the company's financial performance, helping to guide strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical acumen and excellent communication skills, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
• Analyze financial performance data to identify key drivers and trends.
• Provide financial support and guidance to operational teams.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing remote and office-based tasks.
