About the Role

Our client is recruiting for a skilled Management Accountant to join their finance team in Derby, Derbyshire . This role is key to providing critical financial insights, driving performance analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. You will be responsible for management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and collaborating with operational teams to ensure financial objectives are met. This hybrid position offers flexibility, balancing essential office-based collaboration with remote working capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and contribute to rolling forecasts.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Analyze departmental spending and identify areas for cost optimization.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by senior management.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with strong management accounting experience.
• Proven ability in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable in a hybrid work setting.
