Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their finance department in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for generating management reports, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing crucial insights to operational and strategic teams. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, performing detailed variance analysis.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
• Support business partners with financial insights and decision support.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and controls.
• Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Part-qualified or newly qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.
• Experience in management accounting and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis techniques.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance stakeholders.
