Management Consultant - Healthcare Sector

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Management Consultant with a deep understanding of the Healthcare Sector to join their team based in Plymouth . You will be instrumental in advising healthcare providers, NHS trusts, and related organisations on strategic planning, operational efficiency, and service delivery improvements. This role requires a unique blend of healthcare industry insight and consulting expertise to tackle complex challenges and drive positive change within this critical sector. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing patient care and organisational performance across Devon and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational advice to healthcare organisations.
• Analyse healthcare service delivery models and identify areas for improvement.
• Support clients in navigating healthcare policy changes and regulatory requirements.
• Develop business cases for new services or capital investments in healthcare settings.
• Manage projects focused on improving patient flow, reducing waiting times, and enhancing quality of care.
• Facilitate workshops with clinicians, managers, and other stakeholders to co-design solutions.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in healthcare management, policy, or consulting within the healthcare sector.
• In-depth knowledge of NHS operational models, challenges, and current reforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to healthcare contexts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clinical and managerial staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Public Health, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience working with organisations in the South West region is advantageous.
