Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to optimize and enhance their production processes in Wolverhampton . This role is essential for improving manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and operational safety. You will work closely with the production team to identify areas for improvement, implement new technologies, and ensure the smooth running of all mechanical aspects of the manufacturing line. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement using lean manufacturing principles.
• Design, develop, and implement modifications to production machinery and equipment to enhance performance and reduce downtime.
• Develop and implement robust preventative maintenance schedules for all manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues on the production line, ensuring rapid resolution to minimize disruption.
• Collaborate with the quality team to ensure mechanical processes meet product specifications and quality standards.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment in the Wolverhampton facility.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes , machinery, and automation.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software for modifications and simple designs.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a practical, results-oriented approach.
