Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to join their production facility in Nottingham . This role is integral to optimizing manufacturing processes, designing and implementing new production equipment, and ensuring the efficient operation of the plant. You will play a key part in enhancing productivity, quality, and safety within the manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems and equipment for manufacturing processes.
• Optimize existing production lines and machinery for improved efficiency, throughput, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including P&IDs, equipment manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with production staff, quality control, and other engineering disciplines to address manufacturing challenges.
• Ensure all equipment and processes comply with relevant health and safety regulations .

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Proficiency in CAD software for machine design and process layout.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation, robotics, and process control systems.
• Experience with various manufacturing techniques and materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
