About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Manufacturing Operations Engineer to join their team in Nottingham . This role is integral to overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production flow, high product quality, and adherence to safety standards. You will work closely with production teams, maintenance, and quality control to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze daily production operations to identify and resolve issues impacting efficiency and output.
- Implement and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste and improve workflow.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Participate in root cause analysis for production defects and implement corrective actions.
- Support new product introductions by ensuring manufacturing readiness and process capability.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on production operations.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with production planning and control systems is advantageous.
