About the Role
Our client is looking for a results-oriented Industrial Engineering Manager to lead their process improvement and operational efficiency efforts in Nottingham . This leadership role is critical for driving strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest standards of quality across all manufacturing and logistics operations. You will manage a team of industrial engineers, oversee complex projects, and work collaboratively with senior management to align engineering strategies with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of industrial engineering best practices, and a proven track record of success in operational transformation within the Nottingham region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for optimizing manufacturing processes, workflows, and facility layouts.
- Manage and execute major industrial engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and cost savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to integrate engineering solutions with business goals.
- Champion the adoption of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other relevant methodologies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt certification highly preferred), process optimization, and project management.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex operational improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience within a significant manufacturing or industrial hub like Nottingham is a strong advantage.
