Manufacturing Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Operations Engineer to enhance their production processes in Milton Keynes . This hybrid role combines on-site collaboration with remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute to critical projects while maintaining a balanced work life. You will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing lines, improving throughput, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The role requires a proactive individual who can analyze complex operational data, develop data-driven solutions, and work effectively with both on-site teams and remote stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Analyze production data to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and process changes.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
• Experience with production planning and scheduling.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model, balancing remote and on-site duties.
