About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead their busy production facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This senior leadership role is responsible for the overall efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the manufacturing operations. You will manage all aspects of the production process, from raw material intake to finished goods dispatch, ensuring targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and cost control. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production efficiency, throughput, and resource allocation.
- Manage departmental budgets, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for savings.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations in Stoke-on-Trent .
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of production supervisors and staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations management .
- Proven ability to manage large teams and complex production environments.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
