Manufacturing Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their established operations in Stoke-on-Trent . This role focuses on the continuous improvement of production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. You will be involved in analysing manufacturing operations, implementing process changes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize output and reduce operational costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in manufacturing principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Develop, test, and implement new process technologies and methodologies.
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all key manufacturing processes.
• Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure all processes meet regulatory and company standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar manufacturing engineering role.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience with tools like Value Stream Mapping.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills for working with diverse teams in Stoke-on-Trent .
