Manufacturing Process Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Manufacturing Process Specialist to join their team in Norwich . This role is dedicated to optimizing existing manufacturing processes and developing new ones to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work closely with production and engineering teams, utilizing your expertise to troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives on the factory floor. This is a hands-on role for an individual passionate about process optimization and contributing to the overall success of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Develop, test, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
• Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel on process-related matters.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on process validation and troubleshooting.
• Monitor process performance and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal output.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical) or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in manufacturing process optimization and development.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Experience with process troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with various teams.
