Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical systems for new builds and refits of marine vessels.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of marine electrical equipment.
• Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot electrical issues on board vessels.
• Ensure compliance with maritime electrical codes and classification society rules.
• Manage electrical maintenance programs to ensure vessel readiness and safety.
• Liaise with naval architects, project managers, and crew to ensure project requirements are met.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience in the marine or offshore industry.
• Knowledge of marine electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control.
• Familiarity with maritime regulations and standards (e.g., Lloyds Register, DNV).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
