About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems for new builds and refits of marine vessels.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electrical equipment, including generators, switchboards, motors, and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime electrical standards (e.g., IEC, classification society rules).
• Install and commission navigation, communication, and safety systems onboard.
• Conduct electrical surveys and inspections of marine assets, providing detailed reports.
• Liaise with ship owners, project managers, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent marine-specific qualification.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in marine electrical engineering or a closely related field.
• Proficiency with marine electrical systems, AC/DC power distribution, and propulsion controls.
• Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and standards.
• Experience with marine communication and navigation equipment.
• Ability to work onboard vessels and in port environments, often under challenging conditions.
