Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical systems for marine applications, including power generation, distribution, and control.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment on vessels and marine structures.
• Conduct electrical surveys, diagnostics, and maintenance on existing marine systems.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant maritime regulations, such as those from classification societies (e.g., Lloyd's Register, DNV).
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, providing timely and effective solutions at sea or in port.
• Liaise with shipyards, naval architects, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery in Plymouth .

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related marine technology field.
• Proven experience in marine electrical engineering, with knowledge of marine power systems.
• Familiarity with marine electrical codes and classification society rules.
• Experience with marine navigation and communication systems is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team.
