This role is crucial for the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems on board vessels and related marine infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical power generation, distribution, and control systems for marine applications.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime electrical standards (e.g., IEC, ABS, DNV).
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems on vessels.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and system failures, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with naval architects, shipbuilders, and project managers throughout the design and build process.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive electrical documentation, including schematics, manuals, and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant maritime engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a specialization in marine or offshore systems.
• In-depth knowledge of marine electrical systems , including propulsion, navigation, and auxiliary systems.
• Familiarity with relevant maritime classification society rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software and diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
