About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Marketing Data Analyst to join their growing team, ideally based in or near Sunderland , but this role is fully remote. You will play a crucial role in transforming raw marketing data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and campaign optimization. Your expertise will be vital in understanding customer behavior, measuring marketing effectiveness, and identifying opportunities for growth across all digital and traditional channels within the North East region. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with large datasets and influence marketing strategies through data-driven recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze marketing data from various sources, including web analytics, CRM, social media, and advertising platforms.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key marketing KPIs and campaign performance.
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights within the data to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
- Conduct A/B testing and other experimental analyses to optimize campaign performance.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to the marketing team for campaign improvements and new initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Marketing Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
- Solid understanding of marketing principles and metrics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills to present complex data insights clearly and concisely.
