Materials Handler

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and physically fit Materials Handler to join their bustling warehouse operations in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and dispatching materials and finished goods efficiently and safely. This role is critical to maintaining smooth supply chain operations and ensuring that production lines have the necessary components. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality against orders.
• Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
• Pick and pack orders accurately for internal use or external shipment.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking activities as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or materials handling role is advantageous.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly.
• Proficiency in operating basic warehouse equipment.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
