Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Mechanical Design Drafter to join their engineering team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is essential for translating design concepts into precise technical drawings and documentation that guide manufacturing processes. You will work closely with Mechanical Engineers to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models using CAD software.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, industry best practices, and client specifications.
• Create and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other relevant technical documentation.
• Assist engineers in the creation of design concepts and prototypes by providing accurate drafting support.
• Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to design intent.
• Manage drawing revisions and maintain an organized filing system for all design documentation.

Requirements

• HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Drafter or CAD Technician.
• Proficiency in CAD software , such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
• Good understanding of mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
