Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace applications, adhering to strict industry standards and regulations.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) for detailed 3D modeling, drafting, and creation of technical documentation.
- Perform complex engineering analysis, including stress analysis , thermal analysis, and vibration studies.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality assurance teams to ensure designs are producible, reliable, and meet stringent aerospace specifications.
- Participate in design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and implement necessary modifications.
- Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities to ensure system performance and integrity.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- Proven experience (4+ years) in mechanical design, with a focus on the aerospace industry .
- Strong proficiency in CAD/CAE tools relevant to aerospace design.
- Solid understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, composite fabrication), and aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100).
- Experience with aerospace systems design and integration.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid , collaborative team environment in Bradford .
