Mechanical Design Engineer - Aerospace

About the Role

Our client, a leading manufacturer of advanced aerospace components, is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dedicated engineering department in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of critical mechanical systems and components for aircraft applications. This role demands precision, innovation, and a deep understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing techniques. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace applications using 3D CAD software.
• Conduct thorough stress, thermal, and vibration analysis to ensure component integrity and performance.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are producible and cost-effective.
• Support testing and validation activities, analyzing results and implementing design improvements.
• Ensure all designs meet stringent aerospace standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the aerospace industry .
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS).
• Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards (e.g., AS9100).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with meticulous attention to detail.
