Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for marine propulsion, including engines, gearboxes, and propeller systems.
• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, adhering to marine engineering standards.
• Conduct stress analysis , vibration analysis, and performance simulations for propulsion components.
• Collaborate with naval architects, electrical engineers, and manufacturing teams to integrate propulsion systems.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of propulsion systems, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing designs and the development of new technologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with specific experience in marine propulsion systems.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and engineering analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and materials relevant to marine environments.
• Experience with testing and validation of mechanical systems.
