Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and prototype novel mechanical systems and components for R&D projects.
• Utilize advanced 3D CAD software and rapid prototyping technologies to iterate on designs quickly.
• Conduct theoretical analysis, simulations, and experimental testing to validate new concepts and designs.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and researchers in Cambridge .
• Document research findings, design iterations, and test results thoroughly.
• Identify and evaluate new materials, components, and manufacturing processes for potential future applications.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong academic record.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably with a focus on R&D or new product introduction.
• Proficiency in CAD software and experience with prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
• Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and testing methodologies.
• Ability to think creatively, solve complex problems, and work with a high degree of autonomy.
