About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software , producing detailed drawings and specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis to ensure designs meet performance, strength, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to optimize designs for efficient production and assembly.
• Conduct design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of existing products.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other necessary documentation for production.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials science.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, essential for working in Derby .
