About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Mechanical Engineer with a focus on HVAC systems to join their team in Plymouth . This role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various projects. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with relevant building codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of HVAC principles and experience in specifying and integrating these systems effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer HVAC systems for commercial and industrial applications.
- Specify HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and controls according to project requirements.
- Conduct load calculations, energy analysis, and system performance simulations.
- Prepare detailed HVAC drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring proper function.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC system performance and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in HVAC system design and engineering.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP).
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and building services.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and building regulations.
