Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Systems

About the Role

Our client, a specialist provider of building services engineering solutions, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC systems to join their team in Bradford . You will be responsible for the design, specification, and project management of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. This hybrid role allows for a blend of office-based design work and site visits, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment. We are looking for an engineer who can contribute to the efficiency and sustainability of building environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer robust HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Produce detailed calculations, drawings, and specifications using relevant software.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to assess existing systems and ensure design integrity during installation.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless integration of HVAC solutions.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and other relevant standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC system performance.

Requirements

• Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Proven experience in the design and specification of HVAC systems .
• Proficiency in CAD software and HVAC design tools (e.g., Hevacomp, IESVE).
• Good understanding of energy efficiency and sustainability principles in building design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with good communication abilities.
