Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join their advanced robotics team, operating fully remotely . This role is focused on the design, development, and testing of novel robotic systems and components. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and mechanisms for robotic systems, including actuators, end-effectors, and structural elements.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Perform kinematic and dynamic analysis of robotic systems to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with software engineers and electrical engineers to integrate mechanical designs with control systems and sensors.
- Build, test, and validate robotic prototypes, troubleshooting and iterating on designs as needed.
- Contribute to the selection of appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for robotic components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a focus on robotics.
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, with exposure to robotics or automation.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks) and basic knowledge of simulation tools.
- Understanding of robotics principles , including kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.
- Experience with common manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing, CNC machining, and assembly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team .
