Mechanical Fitter x3

Our Portsmouth-based client is currently looking for x3 experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their team on a 3-month contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing local manufacturing business.

The job role will involve a wide range of hands-on duties such as:

Fitting, assembling and finishing components.

*

Installing and securing fittings and components.

*

Drilling, cutting, shaping and preparing materials.

*

Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.

*

Following technical drawings, specifications and work instructions.

*

General workshop fitting and assembly tasks.

Requirements

*

Previous hands-on mechanical fitting, fabrication or assembly experience.

*

Confident using hand and power tools.

*

Ability to work from technical drawings and instructions.

*

Marine, boatbuilding, shipbuilding or similar manufacturing experience highly desirable.

Salary: £20.00 per hour PAYE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday–Friday, day shifts
