Mechanical Fitter

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter on a 15-month contract , located in Scotland

Role Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to work on a long-term substation project in Scotland. The successful candidates will have previous substation experience, with a strong background in mechanical installation and earthing works.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical installation and fitting works within a substation environment.

• Undertake earthing and bonding installation in accordance with project requirements.

• Install and assemble mechanical equipment and associated components.

• Work from drawings, specifications and project documentation.

• Ensure all works are completed safely and to the required quality standards.

• Work effectively as part of a site-based construction team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter.

• Previous substation experience – essential.

• Previous earthing experience – essential.

• Valid CSCS card – essential.

• Strong understanding of mechanical installation within a power/substation environment.

• Ability to work safely and effectively within a site team.

Desirable

• PASMA certification.

• CPCS tickets.

• Additional relevant plant or lifting qualifications.

• Experience working on high-voltage substation projects.
