Job Title - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location - Yeadon, Leeds
Salary - £40,000
Shift - Days - 38 hours per week
Job Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
A standout opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing facility in Yeadon, Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a time‑served engineer looking to develop their technical expertise and build a long‑term career within a growing manufacturing business.
You will be responsible for mechanical fault‑finding, breakdown response, planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities across a range of industrial manufacturing machinery and equipment. The role will involve repairs, installation and commissioning, as well as supporting continuous improvement and minimising production downtime.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on experience with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance in a fast‑paced industrial factory.
Essential requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Strong mechanical fault‑finding skills.
- Mechanical engineering qualification or time‑served engineering background.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Desirable Requirements for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
- Experience working within the UK manufacturing sector.
- Experience working with automated machinery, CNC equipment or robotics.
- Experience with PPM, TPM and condition‑monitoring activities.
