Our client, a global manufacturer who is renowned for its well-known household brands, is currently on the look-out for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team. • You would be working with a wide range of equipment - Conveyors, Robotics, Packaging lines, Drives, Flow wrappers, Fillers, Pumps and Valves etc.

Job details:

• Ensure that preventative and reactive maintenance duties are carried out across the site.

• Be the first point of contact when breakdowns occur. Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime.

• Identify and support initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to co-ordinate repairs and maintenance activities.

• Liaise with the Engineering Team Manager for workload planning and technical support.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Engineering skills obtained by a time served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3)

• Previous experience within a Manufacturing environment (Essential).

• Familiar with pneumatically and hydraulically controlled systems.

• Strong fault-finding capabilities.

• PLC fault-finding experience (desirable).

• Familiar with packaging lines, drives, conveyors, rotating machinery, pumping equipment and valves.

• Competent in safe working procedures.

• Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 days / 2 nights)

• Salary: Up to £55,000 inclusive of shift allowance (annual pay review)
