Our client, a global manufacturer who is renowned for its well-known household brands, is currently on the look-out for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team. - You would be working with a wide range of equipment - Conveyors, Robotics, Packaging lines, Drives, Flow wrappers, Fillers, Pumps and Valves etc.
Job details:
- Ensure that preventative and reactive maintenance duties are carried out across the site.
- Be the first point of contact when breakdowns occur. Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Identify and support initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to co-ordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
- Liaise with the Engineering Team Manager for workload planning and technical support.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Engineering skills obtained by a time served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3)
- Previous experience within a Manufacturing environment (Essential).
- Familiar with pneumatically and hydraulically controlled systems.
- Strong fault-finding capabilities.
- PLC fault-finding experience (desirable).
- Familiar with packaging lines, drives, conveyors, rotating machinery, pumping equipment and valves.
- Competent in safe working procedures.

- Shift: 4 on 4 off (2 days / 2 nights)
- Salary: Up to £55,000 inclusive of shift allowance (annual pay review)
