About the Role

Our client seeks a diligent Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team in Birmingham . Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical inspections and diagnostics on machinery and equipment.
• Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty mechanical components, including gears, bearings, and hydraulic systems.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and machinery.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant vocational training or certifications in mechanical maintenance.
