Mechanical Project Director
Location: London Sector: Commercial Fit-Out / Building Services Salary: £100,000–£120,000 + package
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Director to join an established MEP Design & Build contractor, delivering high-value commercial fit-out projects across London.
This is a senior leadership position for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager / Project Director who can take responsibility for the successful delivery of major projects from pre-construction through to completion.
The Role
*
Take overall responsibility for the mechanical delivery of major commercial fit-out projects
*
Lead and manage project teams, including Project Managers, Engineers and site teams
*
Oversee projects from design and pre-construction through to completion and handover
*
Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement and commercial performance
*
Work closely with clients, consultants, main contractors and supply chain partners
*
Ensure mechanical design is coordinated and delivered in line with project requirements
*
Monitor project progress, costs, quality and programme
*
Identify and manage project risks, variations and commercial opportunities
*
Provide leadership and technical direction to the wider project team
*
Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
About You
We are looking for someone with:
*
Strong experience within mechanical building services
*
Proven background delivering commercial fit-out projects
*
Experience working for an MEP / Design & Build contractor
*
Previous experience at Project Director, Senior Project Manager, Contracts Manager or similar level
*
Experience managing large-value mechanical packages/projects
*
Strong commercial and contractual awareness
*
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders
*
Excellent understanding of mechanical services, design coordination and installation
*
Strong client-facing and communication skills
